The steel industry serves as the backbone for development of any large country. India will be no exception. Consider this: the per capita steel consumption in developed countries like Japan, China and South Korea hover anywhere between 500 kg to 1000 kg. India’s per consumption is a paltry 63 kg. It’s a well known fact that the per capita usage of steel is directly proportional to the robustness of the economy. It will be imperative for India to rise and go above and beyond the world average of 217 kg to begin with. And once the demand for steel rises, India’s steel plants alone cannot fulfill the demand. There would be gap between demand and supply. TJL aims at bridging the gap between the demand and supply in the steel sector through partnership with world class steel manufacturing companies and specifically import products that are meeting various Indian and International standards.
